Representative of the media and stereotypes in the media

In many countries young teenagers are very stereotypical especially on the tv and media for example;
Billie Jackson.jpg Billie Jackson from eastenders was one of the stereotypes as in his role in eastenders it showed that he was in a gang and his criminal activities
Jay Brown.jpgjay brown is also someone from estenders that was perceived as a typical teenager due to his miss behavior and his involved in criminal activities.
i think that teenagers have it to tough in the media as they are always seemed to be hood's and as they are always seemed to be criminals this is extremely wrong and the Media needs to change the point of view on teenagers.

this also continues in film such as anuverhood and adulthood eg
AnuvahoodThis image is from  the film anuverhood, it shows the typical stereotype for teenagers in the media.the film also shows some criminal activity that teenagers in the media are perceived to do such as rob, steal, gun fights, gang riots, knife fights and fist fights.
More than 1,500 teenage gangsters are involved in serious organised crime, police have disclosed.This  is a picture in the telegraph which says that there are 1,500 teenage gangsters in london/england.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/7920000/1500-teen-gangsters-in-Britain-say-police.html
in  conclusion all though this work you can see that teenagers are given a stereotypical criminal image in the media this means that teenagers are given a negative prospect and people name them as criminals when most of the time this is not correct, teenagers are given such a bad name in the, media and this opinion of the media needs to change.

  1. Very good work on representation of teenagers with some great examples used. To improve next time try and use even more examples and write in more detail. Also don't forget to use capital letters at the beginning of sentences. More marks can also be gained by learning how to use words like "signifies" and "represents" instead of shows. Very good work though.

    REPRESENTATION = 14/20 = B
